I don't have any experience with the .38-55, but most large retailers carry Meister Bullets. They have a very good reputation.

Hope this helps.

I bought a bunch of 200gr. .452 SWC a couple years ago and I find them poor to fair.

I have the same bullet style from Hornady and Master Cast (PA) and both are more accurate than the Meister. And both are cheaper now in my neck of the woods. The Hornady seems softer and the Mastercast harder.

On the other hand, I use a Meister 165gr. LFP .309 bullet in my 30-30 for reduced loads and they're fantastic.

1've used Meister in 9mm, 38/357, 44spl/44mag, and 30 caliber. Excellent performance, no leading problems up to 1400 fps or so, and great accuracy. They may cost a bit more but they are an example of you get what you pay for.

I bought 6K 122gr 9mm back when brassman was selling them for $28/1K delivered. Wish I would have ordered 20K. They work fine in all my 9's.

Meister Cast Boolets

Geat bullets and quality - if you can get them. Local gun shop in the St Louis was selling Meister. Stoped selling Meister because they couldn't keep up with demand. The explanation I was given was the management had cash flow problems. When lead prices went up they were tied into contracts or something similar. I would hesitate to mail order but would pay cash for all the product I could afford.
