Not just saying this to revive the 'Ripper Gun' thread posted last time, But i was watching this video on YouTube about the Spanish MEROKA CIWS, Some scenes of its BELT FEED
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QW8ilPgWc7s&mode=related&search=

I have came up with a combined belt feed that retracts and pushes the rounds into the chambers at the same time, It would use the non disintegrating belt.

Ill post my drawings later.

"That retracts and pushes...at the same time."

Do you mean a belt that can be used as either a push through or pull out type? IIRC, the standard disintegrating link belt for the M60 can be used in the converted Brownings also, so it has already been done. (Not the reverse, of course; the fabric and WWII type link belts cannot be used in the M60.)

Like on M2HB/Browning Guns where the Round is pulled out the link backwards. I was thinking this could be combined with the modern 'Push Forward' like on the MG3/M60/FN MAG etc.

Howabout a 'Crammer' magazine?, Similar to the Hopper on the Taisho 11 LMG but forces the rounds directly into the breech. There may be a special stripper clip insert on the left side of the hopper.

'Crammer' Magazine Idea

It would be in the place where the 'belt feed' is.

OR, A special mount similar that would hold 3/4x AC556 carbines eg upside down and will be fed by the crammer magazine.

How would pressure be applied if the barrels do not fire all at the same time? Only the rounds above the empty chamber could fall down, but the pressure plate would have to apply pressure to all of the rounds (Even those that cannot move). That would make each round have to fall by gravity into the breech, very inefficient compared to just using a belt fed and either a single barrel or a gatling arrangement.

It's interesting to note the use of the Soviet aircraft carrier footage in the video.

After seeing the german 'Salvenmachinenkanonen', This came to my head:D

But would only be a mounted weapon though hence the recoil.

I never had any problems with the M85 in my M60-series tank cupolas. BTW, "high rate" on our M85s was more like 900-1000 rpm, and accuracy was NEVER a problem. I had a tank crew evaluator once tell me I was wasting my time shooting at a Hind frontal at 2250 meters with the fifty. He shut up when, well after tracer burn-out, API sparkles covered the target. It helps when your gunner lases to the target first to give you a range.
