Merry Christmas to me. Finally part of the Makarov Club.
Got a Bulgie from SOG during their 12 Days of Christmas sale ($115.00 = $142.00 TTL after transfer & shipping).
Did not pay the hand pick fee and have no regrets. This Mak is more than I hoped for. Blue is in VERY good condition. Bore is excellent, actually looks to be un-issued; bright w/ VERY sharp & clean lands and a perfect looking crown. Shows some scratches around the normal areas of the safety.
Already have some Pearce grips, but like the look & slimness of the 'Red Star' grips better. Hopefully they are'nt TOO punishing @ the range.
19# recoil & mag loader on the way from makarov.com and need a good holster or two to complete the package for now.
Going to leave it basically stock aside for some polishing & trigger work.
Might end up w/ some sight changes or modifications later.
Have a few boxes of Wolf FMJ and just waiting to go shooting
