Merry Christmas to all!

The Wife has the AC cranked up so her Ohio blood can at least feel Christmas-like in todays predicted 85F Central Florida weather. What with the humidity and her cranking down the AC I may yet have to shovel the back hall......

85 F? We had some snow earlier today. It's likely to snow tomorrow and on Sunday.

Merry Christmas!

kbob - tell your wife it went to 53 today here in Cincinnati and Wednesday we hit 69 with thunder showers. Fall just seems to have merged into spring. Bulbs are emerging, trees are budding and flocks of robins are looking for worms.

One of the all-time classic BP revolvers; even more so as a Christmas gift!

TWO DAYS LATER.....

A somewhat late "Merry Christmas" to all you folks on The High Road. Had to work Christmas Eve Day, had Christmas Day off, had to work yesterday in a dust storm that started blowing around 4:00AM Christmas morn and was still blowing fairly well when the Mrs and I crawled in bed about 10:30 last night!

(No, I don't call dust storms "Haboobs" like all those gentrified folks in Phoenix or Tucson do - figure that if my Dad or my Mom were still around, they'd been tannin' my backside if they caught me talkin' about B**B's in polite company.)

Anyhoo, again, Merry Christmas and hopin' God smiles upon you and keeps your powder dry next year.

Oh, and kBob: Just the opposite situation is occurring with "SWMBO" or "The War Department" down here in the Sonora Desert. The Li'l Missus has been piling roughly 25 pounds of blankets on the bed. Born in Cleveland and raised in a little suburban town called Chesterland; she has no cotton to bein' that cold ever again.

Me being a desert kid and raised under two creosote bushes and a mesquite tree in this kinda weather, I just put on a pair of flannel PJ's and sleep on top of all the linens!

Merry Christmas, y'all

It sure has been a merry Christmas! Santa just issued me this new Uberti 1851 Navy it's about as perfect as an Italian repro can be.

THis is my 3rd Uberti Cap and Ball Colt, and hands down the best of the 3 in terms of fit and finish, and shootability. I was able to take it out yesterday and dodge the rain showers long enough to put 7 cylinders through it. It shoots dead on center at 15 yards, and prints tightly with a 6:00 hold at 25 yards. Groups better than any of my other C&B's. My new favorite, and a welcome new addition to the family!
