Mesa Tactical 870 saddle mount

I've looking for a good side saddle mount for my 870 and saw the Mesa Tactical for approximately 2-3x the price of other brands. Is this mount worth the extra coin?

In case someone suggests a cantilever barrel, a standard barrel will not fit the lengthned new design of the.mag tube.

I have had one on my Maverick 88 Security (20" 8 shot) for and I'm very happy with it. It's rock solid and does not move. Rounds are easy to access and do not fall out.

I am guessing you are asking about the Mesa saddle rail not the shell carrier. It mounts the same as the B-Square and others out there and is very well made. The Picitinney rail gives more options for where to mount the optic then the Weaver type rail on the B-square. If that is not an issue for you then the B-Square is the best value.

I have the Mesa 6-round side saddle with rail on my 870; it is a bloody rock. Much sturdier than the TacStar one it replaced, and it gives me the option of using a RDS for slugs if I want.
