I've just about Googled myself out looking for a simple, straightforward full-length vest that has a mesh back for 3-season wear in the AZ climate and that has an inner pocket with either zipper or Velcro closure and that's large enough to carry my G26 concealed. The rest of the pockets inside and out can be be normal to small and just one or two will suffice.

Truthfully, the vests I've come across are either reflective safety, tactical, hunting, fishing or dressy. Reflective safety is out altogether. Leather and suede are clearly out because of the heat and my lifestyle and so are fishing vests as they're either too short (mid-waist) or long and have large bulgy creel-like pockets in the front. I'd look beyond stupid doing what I do each day wearing a tactical vest with all the D-rings, ammo pockets, etc. just as I would wearing a long hunting vest with a shoulder pad and a gun manufacturer's logo.

Doesn't anybody make a simple hot weather vest with a couple of pockets and one on the inside? Something that is utilitarian and not overkill? A vest that doesn't make a statement?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know this might sound goofy, but get a 5.11 tactical shirt, roll the sleeves up, and it has the mesh vent in the back too. Works well for me. I just use a t-shirt in AZ, though, conceals my PO1 well in a Bianchi IWB rig,
