This is a brief initial review of Cabela's Tactical Gun Case in Digi-Camo, as seen here: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-Digital-Camo-Tactical-Gun-Case/1167562.uts?WTz_l=DirectLoad%3Bcat148733280
I was looking for a case capable of carrying carbine-length guns while staying somewhat compact. I looked locally, but was either disappointed with the quality or unwilling to pay the $100+ price tag. Cabelas's offered this case on sale for $50, and had it to my door in 5 days for $58. It measures approx. 14"X42"X4". I'm not a fan of the "tactical" term applied to virtually everything these days, but the case had the features I wanted at a price i could afford. I use AR magazines for size reference only, obviously the pockets can be used for whatever one chooses.
The fabric is very tough and the stitching is solid and well executed. Nearly all of the zippers are two-way, and seem to be of good quality. The main compartment zipper features flaps to cut down on dust/moisture which is a nice touch. All zippers work well and are smooth. The padding is generous and of sufficient density. The internal barrel and stock pockets are well done and are snug.
The molle pockets can hold 3 AR magazines each, and can be moved as needed. Two more could easily be added. The center pocket measures approximately 13"X10" and is stitched in place; can hold 3 mags in the inside section, or many more in the outside portion if desired. This pocket is large enough for many, many uses, and the outside zip pocket is handy.

Zipper detail and illustration of the tension buckles, which is a nice touch. The handle closure isn't padded and not really needed in my opionion. the shoulder strap is not padded, but is wide enough to be acceptably comfortable:
Interior detail. Note the layout of the interior straps and how they can be moved to accomodate different firearms:
Here is the interior with a scoped RRA Entry Tac and an S&W MP-15 Sport. Note the overlap at fore end and grip. Both stocks are fully extended to insure a snug fit:
Flap closed with both rifles in the case. No stress on the zipper or fabric at all. It closed easily with a scoped and non-scoped rifle.
With retention straps moved to the center tabs in single-rifle configuration. The straps have velcro on most of the length, and are more than long enough:
Time will tell how it will hold up, but I feel confident it will do just fine. For the price I believe it's a very good deal. I hope this review will help others looking for the same type of case.
