My Glock's rails have metal inserts on the polymer frame. My Kahr P9 does not. I do feel more reassured about reliability and durability with the metal inserts. Does this design feature matter? Thank you for your thoughts.

I have an HS2000(same as an XD9mm) that has thousands of rounds through it over about 5 years. The rear rails are polymer and they don't show any wear. Mark

My friend has a early ruger KP-95
that he has owned for close to
8 years.He has put over 12,000
rounds thru it,it'll still put
10 round into 4" at 25 yards.
BTW the front and rear frame
rails are polymer and show very
little wear.If the pistol was
designed with polymer instead of
metal frame rails i wouldn't be
too worried about it.
