Minot man shot five times

MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A man authorities say was killed during an argument with another man earlier this month was shot five times, initial autopsy results show.
Christopher Seideman, 18, of Minot, was shot twice in the body and three times in the head with a .44-caliber black powder replica cap-and-ball pistol, Police Detective Bob Barnard said. The sixth shot in the revolver failed to fire, he said.
Seideman's body was found Nov. 8 at the mobile home of Danny Goodman, 57, after Goodman called authorities to report it. Goodman has since been charged with Class AA murder and was being held in the Ward County jail in lieu of $1 million bond.
A .44-caliber revolver was recovered from Goodman's home, and police said it appears consistent with the wounds Seideman suffered.
An affidavit from Police Lt. Steve Kukowski says Goodman gave authorities different accounts of what happened _ first saying he had been confronted in his home by a man he did not know.
He later said the two had argued over the keys to Goodman's pickup truck, and that the two had argued over the potential use of methamphetamine in Goodman's home after he and Seideman had returned from a meth lab site north of the city, the affidavit says.
The court document also says Goodman told police that Seideman dared him to shoot, and that he shot Seideman more than once because he thought he would be in worse trouble if the man did not die.
Barnard said the investigation is continuing, and police continue to interview people. A final autopsy report will include a toxicology screen, he said.
Barnard had no estimate on when the investigation would wrap up.
Northwest District Judge Doug Mattson has appointed a public defender for Goodman and scheduled his preliminary hearing for Dec. 7.
