Micrometer Adj. Screw for Uniflow Power Measure

I have a RCBS Uniflow Powder Measure that I bought used a while back and like it alot. I have been looking at the Micrometer Adjustment Screw that RCBS says makes life easier.

I would like some advise on is the Micrometer Adj. Screw, is it worth the $35.00 or should I keep doing what I am doing??

Anybody got any +/- or other thoughts about this?

My uniflow that I bought used has the micrometer adjuster, I love it. When I load a certian charge I write down what the measures index shows in my loadbook, when I use that load again and reset the index to the number i recorded, The charge weight is 99% corect every time first charge.

My Uniflow has the micrometer adjuster with the small cylinder, and it's the bees knees. Pour in the powder, turn it to the setting you used last time, run a few through, and weigh. Most of the time it'll be right on. Now and then you have to adjust it up or down a notch or two (I'm guessing that powder changes density with temperature and humidity), but even then it's very fast, because you start off close to the correct weight.

It also gives you a safety check. For example, suppose you set your scale wrong. When you then dial the UPM to your recorded number and then measure a charge, it will be so far off that you will know immediately that something's wrong.

How do I know which size to get?? Do I need to pull out the one I have and measure it??

The large cylinder is 0.685" ID. The small cylinder is 0.500" ID.

It seems to be similar to the Hornady which is excellent. When you disassemble and clean the measure you may have some small changes in spacing so it is a good idea to weigh charges to double check.

The only problem is loosing the settings if you have to take it out to clean or change rotors.
I have two unilflows, one in each size. I can dial up a setting months later, run a check throws to get everythng settled and be dead on.
A baffle is the only other thing a uniflow needs.
