For those thinking about a Hornady LNL auto progressive this promo would get you the press for $326 shipped.
Midsouth is presently OOS, but will honor the shipping discount if ordered before Dec. 31st.
Also, rumor has it that Hornady will extend the free bullet promotion for another year but there's no way to confirm that at this time.

*$5.99 Flat Shipping on orders over $100, excludes HazMat fees, items >50lbs.

That would be good news.

I bought from Midsouth for the first time recently and all went well, but not long after I got a nice letter from them saying they had been "hacked" and my credit info "May" have been comprimised. They don't know. I let my card company know and so far so good, but I still keep a close eye on it and will probably change cards. This could happen to any company and at least they were nice enough to let me know. I assume they contacted all their customers who paid with credit cards.

Yes, Midsouth's database was compromised back in the summer. But fewer than a thousand customers were affected. Since then, Midsouth has revamped it's system. In comparison, TJ Maxx had a similar break-in which exposed 46 million customers. In both cases, few if any cardholders actually lost any money.
I ordered from Midsouth yesterday without any reservations.

I got my LNL AP from them about a month ago. They were out of stock and weren't expecting any more until the new year. A week later I saw they had them in stock and called to see what happened to my order. My order had gone through and UPS delivered it that day after I called!

Great people to talk to. They have been cheaper on all reloading stuff purchases... so far....

I just got mine in from midsouth, it came with a new get loaded in 2008 form, same as old one but says offer good jan1 to dec 31 2008 , the only thing is the shipping for free bullets (you have to pay shipping) went up a little , but still the same form, i also called hornady and talked to service to make sure , IT IS SO. :)

HINT:Cabela's has shell plates and dies cheaper than midsouth

I feel special, to be one of 'the few' who stood to lose many, many thousands of dollars (well into five figures) due to Midsouth's security breach.

I like MSSS, but don't trivialize the problem or speak to a scope that you cannot possibly know in detail. They failed to perform basic security on their systems (I do this for a living), and their customer base took it in the shorts for that lack of basic concern.

I've had a hard time going back. MidwayUSA and even Natchez haven't dorked me the way that Midsouth did.

Do they have more than what is shown online? I only see two plates (#44 and #42) and a skimpy selection of Hornady dies. :(

Don't go to Midwayusa then. I don't even bother pricing reloading consumables from them. Even their shipping charges for loaded ammo is freaking high. It stopped all my purchase of ammo from them. ;)

SORRY,, I meant to say Cabela's my mistake , I will change the top post. I looked at so many I forgot who had the best price. :what:

Thanks for the update. :)

Justin

EDIT: Cabela's online prices are the same as Midwayusa's. Might be the going "best deal" MAP rate....

Cabela's has free shipping on orders over 100.00 and 20.00 off orders over 150.00 now, midway has none that I know of , so it makes Cabelas cheaper in the long run. but only till 12-21-07 at 11:59 pm .

What is the code for Cabela's? I'm placing an order now, and it says its going to be $12.95 for my $100-$150 order.

Also, how do they work the backorder? Do they charge you for the shipping of the second (or more) packages when the items come in? Half the popular dies and plates are backordered-- most of the ones I need.

Maybe I'm just not destined to get my stuff for a decent price this year... :(

I checked Midsouth and Natchez shooters supply today and on most of the hornady bullets, Midsouth was a few dollars less per hundred than Natchez. Did not check them against Midway. RG
