Nearly $8 million in taxpayer money flowed into the Tides Center in the form of federal grants made by eight different agencies between 1997 and 2001. They include the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Energy.

Tides works like this: When a high-profile donor wants to give money to a group with an extreme agenda but doesn't want its fingerprints on the donation, it simply gives the money to The Tides Foundation in the form of a "donor- advised donation." Tides then passes that money on to the desired recipient, masking the real source of the cash.

I always ask myself why folks like Ted Turner, George Soros, Mrs. Kerry, Armand Hammer, Martha Stewart, etc. always subscribe to left-wing politics if it doesn't give them benefits. I'm hardly thinking it is their overwhelming concern for the "less fortunate" and "underprivileged." On the surface, though, you'd think it foolish to support those who want to take your assets from you. Maybe they just think that if you patronize the political sharks, you'll be eaten last.
 
Sorta sound funny to me.

The IRS has drawn a bead on the Nature Conservency and is now conducting an all out audit of its transactions.

Perhaps we'll see the same thing with these foundations. I suspect that sooner or later we'll begin to see links between our foundations and certain terrorist organizations. . . . . both honkey and islamic.

What would happen if through a third or fourth channel, Mrs Kerry has donated to an islamic front organization collecting money for OBL?

Things could start to become interesting, huh?
 
Like I suggested, the 3rd. paragraph might raise the greatest concern:

There are a couple of easy explanations for this - preservation of capital is one. In general, left-wing politics advocates social programs being funded by the government and less individual responsibility. They spread the cost of supporting these programs across a very big population, and by doing so they are able to preserve more of their capital.
Again, if they can keep the less advantaged at bay via cash handouts (welfare) it also helps preserve their status and place. More social programs, with the cost being spread out over the general population helps the rich maintain their wealth and position.
 
Wouldn't it be a hoot if she supplied the funds for airline tickets on 9-11. I didn't know isn't a defense.
