I wiped the recoil spring on my gun with Mil Pro 7, intending to wipe it off before relubing.
However I was subsequently called away for an hour and a half. When I returned I forgot to wipe the spring with a dry cloth and simply wiped it over with a lightly oiled rag, before reassembling the pistol.
I understand this cleaner strips all lubes it comes into contact with.
I assume that after an hour and a half it would have dried. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
If it leaves a dry deposit, does this continue to act on oils added later?
I guess what I'm asking is, should I strip the pistol and lube the recoil spring again, or would that be over-reacting?
