I picked up one of the Taurus pt111 Millenium Pro's (serial#003xx)the other day.
Took it out to the range last weekend to give it a try, put about 150 rounds through it of the winchester white box. The gun worked great the trigger was way smoother than the old pt111, recoil was very light probably due to it being about 4ozs. heavier than the old pt111, Overall I am very pleased with the gun feels great to hold and shoot and so far not a hiccup

How all does it differ from the "old" style (non-Pro)? I am very interested in the PT-145- any feedback on the big bore brother? It has a pretty short barrel- you think that will affect velocity adversely? It is a 1/2 inch shorter than the Glock 36 I'm comparing it to. Also, what is the "memory grip" or whatever Taurus calls it? Lastly, is your manual safety easy to click on and off? I felt one that went to OFF a little TOO easily.

Thanks for the report. It's the first user one I've seen on the MP in any model. I take it you have/had an PT-111 before...?

I have shoot the pt111 before and find this one much easier to shoot , seems to be more accurate, probably because of theeasier trigger pull. I currently also have a pt140 that I like shooting and use quite a bit for ccw, had some problems with the trigger ( nothing that ever caused it not to go bang when needed)but Taurus repaired it under warranty, and haven't had any problems since, there was a 4 weekturnaround on the repair and they paid shipping both ways, had fedex pickit up and drop it off at my home.
The new millenium pro has a safety that you have to push with a noticable effort ( not exxcessivIMHO) to take it off or put on shouldn't disengage by itself.
On the new gun the slide sits more on top of the polymer grip than the old one and there seems to be more metal to it which accounts for the extra weight of the gun. The grip and design are very much like the new pt 145.
I really like the design and concealabilty of the millenium series so I figured what the heck with their warranty if it breaks I can always send it back till they get it right. While they have it I can always carry the pt140 or my cs40.
