I was talking with my FFL last night (picked up my new Colt ) and he brought up MIM. I said I think the Colt has 3 or 4 MIM parts, but better than most. He then went on a rant about how guns "aren't what they used to be" - and we all would probably agree, to a certain extent, that to be the case. Anyway.......
He was talking about all of his S&W revolvers and his Norinco base he used to build a "perfect 1911" back years ago. I started thinking about what handguns I have that don't have any MIM......... Ruger Revolvers, Ruger Standard, Kahr PM-9, and some others I'm on the fence about. But, the one that has me really curious - and him, is the Hi-Power. Mine is a 75 anniversary gun and I have no idea?
I know they have cast frames, but have they started using MIM (not saying it's bad if they do!) parts in their new Hi-Powers?
