Mini-14 / 100 yard target

[Redneck with a 40]

This is 40 rounds of my handload's into one target at 100 yards, not bad. This is certainly "good combat accuracy", pretty much all I'm looking for from this rifle.

I did give the barrel a couple of 10 minute breaks, I don't want to get it smoking hot, lol.

In case you're interested, the load is 26.5 grains BLC-2, Rem Case, Wolf .223Primer, and Hornady 55 soft point.

How big is the orange circle?

Are you familiar with On Target? It will compute maximum group size and average distance to the center in both inches and MOA. It's really handy.

The orange bullseye is 8" in diameter. I kept all but 6 or 7 of'em at 3", not too shabby.

A couple of questions, what series Mini is it, with what barrel twist? Every Mini seems to like a particular bullet. What stance were you using? Open sights?

Just taking notes, as I'm also working on improving my Mini's 100 yard hits. Keep us posted on your progress.
