Always take it with you to the range. That way when the guy with the compensated .300 magnum sets up right next to you even though there are plenty of open bays, you can convince him to move.

My alternative using the variable gas block allows you to do the same as changing the bushing to infinite sizes by a simple turn of a knob. I can make any load drop right beside the gun by just squeezing down the opening a little. It has the benefits of using different loads equally and easily. Good luck whatever you choose. The Mini 14 is my most fun and handy rifle to shoot.
