Mini-1873ish gun?

Somebody, several years ago, was converting Ruger Single Sixes to shoot 32 H&R, but for the life of me I can't think of who it was.…
Might not be the fellow you are remembering but, Andy Horvath would be happy to make you one. Just as soon as he completes the project he is working on for me!

It might've been, but I still can't remember that fellas name... want to say he lived somewhere in Georgia? He did one for Jeff Quinn years ago best I remember. A guy could find it if he wanted to put the effort into digging through the Gunblast archives; I don't want to though.

Andy did work for a couple of nobodies, Skeeter Skelton and Elmer Keith. He has also done work for me when my shop was moving. He is way beyond what folks think of when they hear the word gunsmith.

No, not your Georgia guy, but definitely the MAN!

The Italian 38 special I'm remembering was advertised as being a SAA in 7/8 scale. It had a bird's head grip. I luckily realized I don't like bird's head grips before I bought one.

The Single Six in 32 H&R works fine. Mine has a long barrel, but it would be fun with a short one.

This is about as close as you can get in 32 H&R magnum. It’s a Ruger John Wayne commemorative, “The Duke”. I bought it used and yes I shoot it. Caliber to frame size is what I like.

Taylor's offers their Hickok in 38 special but it's an Open Top, not 1873. I cut down a long barrel on an 1860 R-M Conversion to make my own shorty. Top one is the Hickok, bottom is my hacksaw job. Had to install the front sight and there's no ejector.
