I recently bought this one.


I have cutted the barrel down to 17" and have sent it to get rethreaded.
When it get back, the rifle will be fittet with this stock.


It will wear a Nikon prostaff 2-7x32

How does the can affect accuracy? I've heard the barrel flex on Mini's can cause accuracy problems. I know some guys address this by adding a strut below the barrel to put tension on it.

Nice looking gun, BTW. Much better with the new stock. The Mini's are good looking guns.

I love my minis, have owned them for over 30 years thru good and bad, recently got me a mini 14 tactical 581 series, planning on putting a 2x7x33 Redfield on it for coyotes or hogs...cant wait...

Who made the stock and what is it called?

The stock is a Bell & Carlson Carbelite, very solid stock.

I think the can will reduse barrel flex.
This is also the target model with a little thicker barrel.

If the scope cant handle the mini Ill get the money back and buy a leupold.

Yep, that barrel is different. Looks even thicker than the new improved 580 series barrels that are much better than the old ones.

It depends on state law. Here in Alabama ,a .223 is legal for deer hunting. ANY centerfire cartridge is legal here.

That would by my perfect Mini except for the can and extended magazine.

I have a 5 round mag for hunting use.
A 10 round mag would look best.

If the supressor was not included in the deal I would choose a lighter and smaller one, probarly modul based.
But I would still use a telescopic one so it disrupted the balance less than a pure front modul.

My ideal Mini would use the stock and scope you chose with a 20" non threaded barrel. A matched set in .223,7.625x39 and 6.8 to make it complete.

If the supressor was a little smaller i would hav cut the barrel down to 40cm(legal minimum).
A Choate Ventilated Handguard are on its way from the US.

Will shop some ammo this weekend and test the gun next week.

S&B 55gr FMJ and some prvi partizan.

I like the IDEA but not the looks. It is also illegal on a hunting rifle in my state.

What is the rifling twist rate of your barrel? My Stevens M200 has a 1:9 twist rate and is awesomely accurate with Prvi Partisan 75gr BTHP match ammo.

But neither are a mini

If your barrel doesn't like the 55gr. bullets,try 62 grains. They tend to stabilize better in a 1:9 twist.

I'm assuming the suppressor isn't going to be used for hunting? I'm not aware of any states where hunting with a suppressor is legal.
