for 2 shots at a burglar mini 14s are plenty accurate and quite reliable. The only real legit complaints I have heard about them is that many parts are factory only and factory magazines are expensive. For HD and an occasional trip to the range, you will probably never break anything or wear out a magazine. I prefer factory 20 mags as they are less awkward than the 30s.
