Missed it by THAT much....

Went to a gunshow this weekend and saw a guy toting around an 870 riot gun with extended mag. The gun looked a little beat, and the buttstock was loose. He said he wanted $200 for it, so, on a whim, I offered him $175. SOLD! Problem: he needed cash, all I had was a checkbook, and the ATM was down. :banghead: We parted friends, with him still toting the shotgun and with me smacking my head on a conveniently available wall. CRAP!!

I've had a few situations like that. I was looking for an 870 a while back that looked brand spanking new at a pawn shop. He wanted only 175.00 for it. I didn't have the cash on me at the time so I went about my daily errands stoping at the bank to get the cash. Went back later that day and it was gone. It reminded me of that old saying. You snooze you lose.
