I'm missing a screw from the frame of my 1990 CZ-75. Apparently, I lost it sometime before I sent it to Novak for some new sights. I didn't notice it was gone until I went to test fire the gun after getting it back.

The screw is located on the frame just behind the safety. I've never seen another CZ with a screw there. Does anyone know A) where I can get a replacement B) if this screw was normal for that model year?

Might want to give Mike at CZ-USA a call. I've never seen one with a screw there, but I'm also not that experienced with the pre-Bs. From what your picture shows looks like you have a nice one.

My '92 "pre-B" has no screw there.
Yours is two tone and has adjustable sights. A competition model, maybe?

The only thing I can think of a screw there for would be to keep the modular lockwork from rocking around in the frame, so as to allow a more consistent trigger pull.

I've got a number of CZs, including a pre-B, (and a couple of clones) and none of them have a screw, roll-pin or ANYTHING in that position...

Wonder if that was a spot set up for a frame-mounted sight mount...

YEs, very strange. wonder if it is a KETTNER or other Germany gun?

Justin, it is most definately missing a screw. I didn't get through 4 years of college, 3 on the pistol team, and not be able to tell the difference between a screw and a roll pin. I still have the screw that is in the other side of the frame, so I'm going to try to find a replacement, or use it as a model to have a new one made (gotta love having relatives that own machine shops).

At the very least, I want to plug that hole up. I'm guessing maybe the original owner or the importer put the screw in there to make the trigger group more secure in the frame.

On a bright note, Novak's did a wonderful job on the sight installation and refinish of the slide. The factory sights were absolutely terrible.

Calling CZUSA won't do you any good because that's an aftermarket part.

I'm pretty sure thats an aftermarket mod to fix the sear block (or whatever it might be called) in the fram, enabling a better trigger pull.

Man, I dunno, I've been to your school, remember?
