Im looking for a Kel Tec Sub2K with no avail... even online dealers are all out of stock. Anyone know what the scoop is? Is this another victim of the panic buying spree? :banghead: Has anyone seen any in stock anywhere?
I want to get a centerfire rifle/SMG my wife and mom can shoot... the AK is way too heavy for them, and they are too advanced for being stuck with only a .22. The Sub2K is only 4 lbs :)

I've been looking--but not seeing, any of them in Utah County. Sorry man. :( I'll keep an eye open when I'm out and about though.

They were always hard to find even before the "panic".
Got mine a couple of years ago, only one in the store and they were on the phone ordering another before I left, they were told they were out of stock at the distributor.

Have you already considered and discounted the Hi-Point 9mm carbine? Though their pistols are pretty blah, their carbines get awfully good reviews for a $200 rifle.

They also just redesigned the stock, and unveiled it at SHOT. Not sure how long it'll take those to hit the shelves though.

I can't find a pic immediately, but I believe EAA also introduced a 9mm carbine at SHOT.

If money isn't a major factor, the Beretta CX4 Storm 9mm carbine is supposed to be quite good, and weighs around 5.6lbs.

That's about all the practical 9mm carbines that jump to mind, aside from obscure options like the Feather, CM-9/11, etc., and heavier/expensive/OOP options like a 9mm AR-15, Marlin Camp 9, Ruger PC, etc. Anything I've missed

They are just not in stock anywhere. There are only 2 on gunbroker right now so that should tell you something. Give it a few months for kel-tec to do a big batch of them.

2 weeks ago a store in Sprinfield, Mo had one in .40S&W. He was asking $399 for it. But 2 weeks is a long time in this economy. I'm sure it's gone now.

About a month ago I could have bought a .40 caliber glock mag model for $350 but I got a Saiga 12 instead.

There's one for sale now in the buy/trade section. Seller is "gunmaker2872" It's post #415753. He's wanting to make a trade with someone.

I saw one in a store the other day......I'm trying to remember where, but to no avail. And it was just 1 unit, too.

They just don't seem to be too "hot" of an item back home, so people aren't exactly keeping tons of 'em in the backstock--more of a "one at a time" piece.

According to the internet forums (kel tec forums specifically) there has not been a big batch of sub-2000's in a while. According to a phone call to Kel Tec they are still turning them out in smaller numbers every week. I guess most of them go to Kel Tec's favorite gun shops and wholesalers (that last bit is according to my FFL).

Check the pawn shops thats where I found mine. It cost me $250 a few months ago.
