Missouri HB349. Maybe today!

For those of us here in Missouri, Tuesday (Febuary 24th, today) may be the day that the MoSC hands down their dicision to lift the injunction against HB349, (CCW.) I don't know about the rest of you in Jackson County, but I plan to be on the Missouri Government home-page at 1300hrs to read the decision. If they rule favorably, I'll be at the Jackson County Sheriff's Office at 1315hrs with my training documentation in one hand, and my checkbook in the other. I hope to see you all there at that time.

Stay tuned..........

Hopefully we'll hear something tomorrow.

But, don't go pestering your local LEOs about it....if it does pass, it won't be implemented into law that quickly, even though the agencies have had an extra....what 6 months to prepare for it?

I'm actually kinda curious how long it will take from SC approval to actual implementation of the system.

Can the anti's appeal (again) if it does pass? If so, I bet they get their appeal rollling before any of us get our permits... :(

Nope - no more appeals. At this point it appears that their best option would have been a voter referendum, but they let the 90 day deadline pass without filing. So sad.

A constitutional amendment is their only remaining hope, and in today's climate - it just ain't gonna happen.

Not to throw cold water on the entire thing, but it's entirely possible that CCW could get thrown out based on Hancock.

If that does occur, you'll see a rather quick pace of another CCW bill being passed, with the only guarantee of Hancock not being addressed: The anti-gunners can't use the Hancock amendment in regards to a state agency, like the Missouri State Police?

Looks like were on ice for while:banghead: If I understand things right the case they handed down today is one that was argued just prior to the LTC bill, the next avaliable date for a ruling is March 9th. I haven't given up hope yet... but if they delay this until further action from this legislature isn't an option... I will be upset:cuss:

i'm sick of waiting for my God given rights to be reinstated.
If they don't get it right, and soon, I'm taking my tax dollars elsewhere.
