The citizens of Missouri voted to amend the state constitution to basically make the right to keep and bear arms inviolate. This infuriated the antis, including some big city police chiefs and they sued to overturn the election.

Today the Missouri Supreme Court ruled that the amendment and the election are constitutional.

A big win!!

Gun rights amendment upheld by Missouri Supreme Court http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/...cle_372cc8d0-f516-59d2-b996-cfbfdd747a84.html

From the article:

Residents have the right to keep ammunition and accessories, as well as the right to defend their families with firearms — a right previously limited to defending home, property and person.

They previously didn't have the acknowledged right to protect their families..!? :what:

I stopped after 4 or 5 poll questions before it would let me read the article. Good to hear though!

Does this ruling have any effect on the requirement for cicitzens to buy a "license" from the State to carry a gun concealed anywhere in the State of Missouri?
