Does anyone know the powder and charge weight for the MK262 (5.56 NATO w/77gr Sierra Match king)? I called Black Hills and I was told that the recipe was classified.

M262 recipe

I doubt if you will find any data for the M262 rounds.

I read, a couple months ago, that Black Hills uses Ramshot powders in some of their loads and TAC comes close in performance.

Off the shelf powders cannot match the factory M262 load, but several can come close enough to live with.

If I find the link again, I will post it.

What does a recipe have to do with reloading. You need to first find out basic info about the MK262, such as Muzzle velocity, COAL, is the bullet crimped, primer crimped, etc. Once you have some of this info you can start to look at LOAD DATA for the powders that might give you the velocity your looking for at a pressure that is safe in your gun. Remember to start low and work up looking for signs of high pressure along the way. This is called load development and if you are shooting these test loads on a target you may find a load that groups well in the process.
