What are some of the other hopefull CCW Missouri members going to set up for a carry rig? (Even though we are once again not allowed to since that Injuction on Friday...:fire: )

Anyways, here's my setup. Ruger SP101 (bobbed hammer 2.25 barrel .357 Magnum). Load is Federal Premium Defence 130 gr Hydra-shocks. (Shot these yesterday. Muzzle flash is non-existant, recoil is stout.) Holster is the High Noon Hidden Alley, and knife is a Cold Steel Ti-Lite. Only thing left for me to acquire is a good light, which will probably be a Surefire E1e Executive

Nice revolver. I thought Federal "PD" stood for "Personal Defense" and their claim to fame was LESS recoil. Or, does Federal make a Premium Defense round too??
You know, it's GOT to be a pisser when something is voted on and wins, plus the people obviously want it to happen--and then the minority keeps throwing roadblocks over and over.

Yeah, the PD rounds are supposed to be lighter bullets moving faster, with less flash. the .40s are a 135 grain, and they kick so light, I was worried about my Beretta not cycling right with them.

Maybe they got complaints about people not liking the shallow pentetration they were going for, so they went to a more normal load? I'll still carry these cause I like the bullet and the low flash. (Although, I may try some 159 grain mags to see if the recoil is less sharp.)

I just looked at the case the ammo is in: Federal Premium Personal Defense. Maybe there are two types, and I got the Hi-Vel version...I'll have to check the site.

And yes, the political state of MO is very frustrating right now, this is just one issue of many... grumble.

Come AWN you other Missourians! Am I the only one with a camera out here? :neener:

OT:

I used to carry a speedloader with my M85, and its a pretty big chunk in a pants pocket (non-issue with my coat though), have you tried sppedstrips? You may find you like them better, despite the slower reload. I did.

Oh yeah, nice peice.
