Model 12 ammo question

I recently accquired a 1961 Winchester model 12 with a modified choke. With this current setup would it be able to shoot deer slugs?

Yes. More open is more accurate. You should have no problems with slugs in a modified barrel. I have fired them in full choke barrels but they are not as accurate as a more open choke.
