if it's in decent shape, then ya, it's a good price. i have one made in the early 80's and i just love it. besides, everyone needs a Win '94 in their collection. i say snap it up.

It depends.

If it's a good one, it could be a steal.

Some 94s were on the "don't buy!" list, though, due to poor quality.

Honestly, I think you can tell by looking. Look at the metal fit and finish, and at the stock.

If the gun looks like it's made by someone who actually gave a crap about what they were doing, buy it (after feeling the action, looking down the bore and all the usual stuff to make sure the gun wasn't trashed at some point).

If the gun looks like the guy who made it was drunk at the time, look elsewhere.:)

Bobarino- I'm interested in it because i agree with you. everyone should have one and I dont yet.

ArmedBear - i usually do my best not to spend hard earned money on shoddy items built by drunkards. Ill make sure to give it a good looksee.

If it comes home ill post a pic.

Thanks

The Winchester 1894 was originally designed for rifle length cartridges worked well in that role. But in the 80's USRA "adapted" them for pistol cartridges and they were MISERABLE!

Buy it if it's for a rifle cartridge.
