Anyone know anything about a Model 1905 Maxim bayonet that was made to work with the silenced version of the gun? It attached with a dovetail instead of over the barrel like normal. A friend of mine has found one and is wanting to purchase it. Any information that is not on this picture would be a great help, as well as a rough price of such a bayonet, it seems that not many were made. I believe the one in question was manufactured in 1910.
This is the only info I have been able to find on it, The Springfield 1903 rifles: the illustrated, documented story of the design, development, and production of all the models, appendages, and accessories written by William S. Brophy, page 365.
