Model 94 rear sight removal

I recently put a Williams 5D sight on my Model 94AE .357 and I can not figure out how to remove the factory rear sight. Everything I find on-line says it is dovetailed but it does not look to be dovetailed on my rifle. Any suggestions?

The rear sight is dove-tailed into the barrel right at the big pointy end.

Take a brass punch and small hammer and tap it out left to right.

Yes. The front sight on my rifle was dovetailed in and removed it without issue.

Are there multiple types of dovetails? When I think of something being dovetailed this is what I picture: a cut like this /_\ with the part (sight in this case) drifted in.

You've got it.
What's different about your rear sight?
The base at the forward end of the sight assembly should be located in a dovetail, tap it out the same way as RC said.
