How is the Michael Reagan post considered 'political', NOT gun related or something to be put in the LEGAL section?

This is a statement on national airwaves by an individual 'radio man' who called for murder for someone who did not agree with HIM or HIS VIEWS not 'self defense'. It mentioned shooting and that he would supply the ammunition! Guns = shooting and ammo, eh?

If you, others or me said such a statement on the national airwaves, mass media or on a board for such a thing = a CRIME... I am quite sure that the police, the FBI, Homeland INsecurity, other alphabet agencies, etc. would be on us as STINK on you know what.

This was a stupid, NO offense, wrong and BIASED comment made by Michael Reagan. If it was RENO - UGH, Waco, Ruby Ridge, the top 3 candidates, or any other types like in the Brady Bunch - UGH --- WE, as gun owners, would be UP IN ARMS along with our gun rights organizations! Wouldn't we CONDEMN such a statement by a so called 'conservative' when it came to using firearms in an ILLEGAL and morally WRONG act = CRIME?

Why is this comment of his considered ONLY political when other comments by people when it relates to firearms, illegal acts, crimes, murder versus self defense, the RKBA issue, home invasions, etc. are allowed?

IF this man (?!?) can say such a stupid, wrong, and evil comment about killing people who do NOT agree with him or HIS viewpoints... how does that make it NOT allowed in the legal section? Not gun related? NOT making us as HONEST gun owners look BAD and NOT responsible because he made that comment? Is it OK because he was the son of an admired President to call it political (Locked thread.). Was it because he ONLY wanted to murder those who did not agree with him or others viewpoints? That made it 'political', huh?

If it was the devil or the devil's child or from the Brady Bunch and their ILK... it would be OK for a gun board under 'legal"? That would prove that they were wrong in many areas for saying this and it would prove that they were NOT responsible people. Prove what the Brady bunch is!

But if it comes from a so called conservative... not allowed?

Frankly, I don't understand how this is NOT allowed under legal and it makes ALL gun nuts LOOK BAD because this man made those comments! He did not say, "Let us run them over with our cars = another OBJECT or TOOL!" He mentioned shooting, firearms and ammunition.

Your call and your board but I sure do NOT understand how this does NOT make us look bad. I think that it should show that there are many in ALL movements who make gun owners look bad whether they have a R or D sticker or wrap themselves up in the red, white and blue and promote CRIMES - gun crimes - although I personally think that crime is crime!

Catherine, no offense intended but it's considered much better form to carry on such discussions with the moderators through private messages.

Yeah, I agree with you (hell, I am a liberal), but there are no more 'political' discussions allowed here. Sure, the guy is a disgrace, but he made his suggestion in the context of a very heated political debate over the war.

You can check the past political debates here and at thefiringline.com. They usually degenerate pretty quickly. I should know, I was often in the middle of them.

That is why political topics are now off-limits.

I'm gonna have to echo Robert Hairless, and recommend that you PM a mod, if you want to ask your question. Posting here is pointless, since we're not mods, and have no idea what the reason was for the thread being locked.

Lock this question to the moderator up please.

OK - thank you.

LOCK up this thread and question to the moderator.

Thanks anyway.
