Modifed Marlin Papoose take-down

I did something similar with my Marlin 795. Hollow buttstock, full of ammo and stuff. Basically the same as the Papoose without the removable barrel. Complete write up is here.... www.nylonrifles.com

I just pried out the buttplate, cut a small groove as a pry point and press fit it back into place. Wrapped the stock in duct tape and then paracord in case I needed some.

My stock holds 5 loaded mags, plus 50 extra rounds + bandaids, matches, small LED light +small knife, ear plugs etc.

I like this "all roads leading to Rome" concept -- it's interesting to see/hear how people arrive at a "solution" to a problem through their ingenuity, resourcefulness, and the hardware they have on hand.

This thread definitely gets one's creative juices flowing... :cool:

Nice. What tools/process did you use to mount the upholstery snaps? That's a neat idea.
