Muzzle Blast, I am not disputing you but I know that 480 BC Spartan or Dorian or Lacedemonian writing may not be the exact same as modern Greek. What I'm saying is "Who knows?" The monument is not the original marker stone.

Well, let's see... if 99.9% of the people agree that Thucidides (or whoever it was) spelled it right in his history, and one sticker maker has it different, which one shall I go with? Hmm... *insert Jeopardy Theme music* :p

Languages change significantly through time. Even in the Roman era, 700 or so years after the Spartan time these famous words were uttered, capital letters were the only choices and they ran all the words together with no spaces. An innovation put a period between each word. I'm pretty sure the Greek was all in caps, also.

What I'm saying is you are arguing about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. No one knows.

If they guy ain't agin us, he's for us. ;)

Spelling

I did check all over the web for the proper spelling, and I found two different ways to spell it. One of the people I spoke to told me that ancient Greek was a rather fluid language which changed quite a bit. Unfortunately, he couldn't point me in one direction or another.

So I went with the spelling that was more common in my research. I knew that some people wouldn't be happy with it, but most of the folks I've spoken to are pleased with it.

It took me an hour to find a custom decal site with Greek letters. I found one at

www.signsbyyou.com

There are others, but they are for fraternities and such (only three letters)
I wanted a back window decal about 2 inches high.
Heres what i got:

Cost: about $25 with shipping

If you see this on a green Blazer in the San Diego area. It's me. Or someone stole my truck.
