Just got some Meister 95gr lead round nose. Can not find too much on 95 grn rounds for reloading. Any reccomendation from the gun nut world out there?

I'm running 2.7gr Titegroup under a 95gr MO Bullet. No chrono results but seems pretty close to factory 'feel'.

I am having good success with Titegroup and 100gr Berry's bullets.

Lyman 49th gives some loads for 95 grain FMJ bullets:

W 231 start gr 2.1 max 2.9
Titegroup start 2.4 max 2.7
Unique start 2.3 max 3.1

A note says: W231 is an outstanding performer with all weight bullets in this cartridge.

Nothing on a lead 95 gr bullet.

3 grains of red dot with 95 gr. lead boolits works just great in my 380 makarov. Accurate , no leading , little kick , always functions . The only problem I have ever had was a friend that limp wristed with this load.

No matter how much I tried to explain it to him, the gun mis loaded when he shot it. I can,t make any of my 380s mis load with this load. I have shot 1000s of rounds with no malfunctions. Some people just don't get it.

I have tried to make the gun malfunction and can't do it. He must do more than just limp wrist as I can hold the gun with slack grip and bent loose arm and it still functions perfectly.

By the way, I use range pick up brass, un sorted. I clean it and load. Shoot it and pick up as much as I can. Repeat.

The Makarov is for sure more accurate than I am. No trouble holding one hole 8 round groups at 21 feet. At fifty feet my shakey hand and old eyes don't do the gun justice.

3 grains of red dot with 95 grain lead round nose is really good. The only draw back is the smoke. It does smoke a little more than some other loads. I still use the red dot as I have lots left over from shot shell reloading. A big advantage is the number of loads per pound.

With 7000 grains per pound and using 3 grain charge I get more than 2300 shots per pound. If powder is $20.00 per pound, The powder cost is less than a penny a shot. With primers @3.5 cents each and bullets costing about $103 per 2000 delivered with tax from Dardas a loaded round costs less than 9 cents.

I can have a whole Mornings entertainment for less than $20.00 with the afternoon reserved for reloading the empty brass. More fun and It is sure less costly than sitting in a bar for the day!

Life is good! Shoot more! Have Fun! Enjoy all aspects of the hobby! -Dale

231 is a great powder for all types of handgun rounds from .25 ACP to .45 ACP, but in my experience, it's use combined with cast bullets seems to produce the dirtiest load imaginable short of black powder, regardless of cartridge.

I'm using 2.5 grains of TiteGroup behind a copper plated 95 grain bullet. Can't remember if they're Berry or Rainier.

231 is all I have now so I will give it a try. 3.7gn with the Berry's 100gn works great for me. I was shooting it yesterday. Maybe I will go 3.0 to 3.5 and see what happens. First, I need a tripod for the chrono...
