Did anyone catch the Philly channel 10 news at 11:00PM last night? They did a short story on guns on Philly and they came up with an idea that I never heard of before. They are asking residents of the city to call the police to search their homes (they are volunteering for this so no warrent needed) if they believe someone in their home is in possesion of an illegal gun. So what is the penalty if they find an illegal gun you may ask. Well, according to the story there is NO penalty unless the gun is traced to a crime. This brings up many questions such as what happens when police find something illegal other than a gun. Since they are there looking for guns, do they have to ignore other illegal activity? The idiot politicians are trying to introduce more gun control legislation while they are ignoring the enforcement of existing laws. Do these people see how idiotic they really are? They actually believe that this is going to help things. The thing that scares me the most about philly is that representatives in the state would give in to them to shut them up and let them write there own laws that conflict with state laws. I live on the border of the city and can't imagine the mess that this would cause.
