On the heels of the terrible news about labgrade, I just learned that a Bay Area trainer of my aquaintance has been killed. Some of you may know him. An excellent man, very fine trainer. He will be missed.

(KCBS) - Members of a security training firm in Concord are in mourning today, after learning that one of their coworkers was killed in Iraq.
KCBS reporter Bob Butler in Concord says 33 year old Mike Price was critically injured on Monday when the vehicle he was riding in was hit by a roadside bomb.
Halo Group spokesman Kevin Mann said he was stunned to learn Price had since died of his injuries.
"They had told us that the swelling had gone down in his brain and in his face, and they were going to move him," said Mann. "Everyday that he's alive, you figure he's getting stronger. When we found out, I'm not going to tell you there weren't a lot of tears shed by a lot of people."
Price hailed from Southern California but moved to the Bay Area two years ago to train at the Halo Group.
"Mike was cool," said Mann. "He had a very, very funny, dry sense of humor."
Price leaves behind an eleven year old daughter.
