Ya'll will like this one, it's a Fighter I made for a guy to gift to his brother in Iraq

Steel: 1084
Thickness: Barely Tapered 1/4 In
Blade: 6 7/8 In
O/A: 11 5/8 In
Grind: Flat grind Convex edge
Finish: Satin
Fittings: 416 SS
Handle: Black Linen Micarta
Sheath: Leather (will be making a kydex rig as soon as I can get a Tek-Lok)

Then there this one which I just made on a Lark, to try a few things

(my first Framed handle)

Bowie:
Steel: 1084 (Aldo's 1/4 x 1 1/2)
Thickness: Slow Tapered 1/4 In
Blade: 9 1/2 In W/ False Edge
O/A: 15 In
Grind: Flat grind Convex edge
Finish: Hand rubbed with awesome Hamon
Fittings: Deep etched Wrought
Handle: Stag with Wrought Iron Frame (the frame is hidden pinned) with one Through SS pin

I have a list of things I'd like to accomplish before I eventually reach the end of my days and becoming a blacksmith is one of them.

Welcome to THR and you're in a pretty good area for blacksmiths/bladesmiths. You should hunt for some of the hammer ins in the PNW and attend to get to meet some of the folks.

Very nice on both. The Soldier's Knife is a good sturdy workmanlike design, if a bit big for a combat troop.
