More than one of same caliber

I understand your position. I like to have more than one gun of the same caliber so I don't have to buy so many different types of ammo. Its also nice when I bring someone else to the range who doesn't have their own gun.

I usually do, however, favor one gun. In fact, I'm selling 1-2 of my 9mm guns just for that reason! I currently have a XD-9 sub-compact, Kahr MK9, Sig 226 and S&W M&P 9mm.

The M&P is my new toy and I love it. I'm going to be selling the XD-9 and maybe the Kahr because I just don't shoot them enough.

What I never understood is people who have 3-4 of the EXACT same gun. I guess I could understand having 2 of a gun in the event that one of them was off to the 'smith, but 3-4 just seems a little nuts to me.

I've got several calibers but I also have a Browning Hi Power, a F.E.G. HP clone and I'm looking very seriously at an F.N. rollmarked HP too. So, I'll buy two (or more) of the same gun, let alone caliber. (I'm also looking to getting a mate or two for my E.G. Makarov.)

I have 2 .45 Colts, three .357s, did have two .41 Mags (I just sold one) two .223 rifles, two 9mms. The only handguns I only have one of now are .41 Mag, .22, and .44 Mag.

I have plans to get many guns of the same caliber of the one I already have. I have a HK USP 45, but a 1911 is on the list. I have a Tikka 30-06, and a CZ550 30-06 is on the list. I have a 10/22 and a CZ and/or a Ruger 77/22 is on the list. I have a Colt woodsman and a JC Higgins and a Buckmark and/or a Ruger MKIII is on the list. I have a...

How many people have no problem buying a gun of the same caliber of a different brand name.
Lessee, I have:

STI Spartan: .45

Springer XD: .45

Para-Ord Nite-Tac: .45

Beretta CX4 Storm: .45

S&W 625: .45

I think it's a good idea...;)

Thad, Thad, Thad... You can never have TOO MANY guns! As I always say: If you like it - Buy it! Who cares if you have others of the same calibre. They all have their own personalities........ don't they?!?!? :D

If you're trying to find justification, then it's likely you can't justify the purchase yourself and will regret it in the long run. I'm guessing you could better spend the money elsewhere, and you don't really have the money to spend... at least that'd be my situation, if I were trying to justify a purchase.

After reading this thread I know for sure I want to kick myself for not buying that CZ75B .40cal I saw at the last gunshow. I already have a .40 CZ. The price was decent, the gun was in great shape, and I SHOULD have bought it....
