Howdy folks. I've been looking to upgrade the sights on my Mosin Nagant M44. I'll be using the M44 for plinking and deer hunting and I think that a peep sight will give me a little more confidence in my shots. Has anyone used Mojo Sights on a Mosin Nagant? If you have, what do you think?

I've got the double peep setup on my '44 and like it a bunch. If you are shooting at something small enough to fit within the front aperture, they are VERY precise...compared to the stock irons. (as an aside, when was the last time you saw 'precise' and 'M-44' in the same sentence!)

On bigger targets, they seem to work best (for me) using them to quickly align and snap-shoot. Doing speed contests with others using stock sights, I think you will find them quicker and easier to hit with.

They are built nicely and seem sturdy. Recommend them highly.

I got the Mojo Sights, but just didn't really like the Tandem Aperture as much as I thought I might. The front sight just blocks out too much of the target because the metal surrounding the aperature is so thick. For example, if you were shooting at a 12inch pie plate at 100 yards, you can only see a few inches in the middle of the plate, but you lose your frame of reference since you can't see the edges of the plate. I'd way rather just have a normal but fine edged front site (much finer than a normal chunky mosin front post).

Since I haven't really found an iron sights solution I've enjoyed, I've mounted a scout scope with Darrell's Scope Mount. It's been rock solid so far, which is more than I can say for all the other mounts i tried. I'll probably leave it that way forever since my rifle just shoots to high for the iron sights at 100 yards (even with the mojo).

One thing that I'm curious about it the Huber Concepts ball trigger. My M38's definitely gotta pretty mushy pull. The ball trigger is supposed to be adjustable and nice. I don't know if I'm going to put more money in my mosin though... it was my first gun and I did a lot of experimenting with it. Now its time to save up for a Remington 700 or something.

I have Mojos on my 38. Double Apeture and while I like the quick acquisition, I am disappointed that in the lowest setting I am still shooting high at 100 yards. I emailed Mojo and the were quick to get back to me, but regardless I am still shooting high.

I have a M44 with Mojo snap sights i like them a lot. Just for the fun of it i put the front Mojo sight on my M38 and left Nagant rear sight it was a pretty nice sight picture. The elevation was fine with my hand loads. I have one Huber Concepts trigger on my 91/30 scout it does take the slack out of the trigger and breaks nice. I all so two other adjustable triggers a guy made for me for 16.00 dollars each i am all so happy with them. I agree with you on the Darrel mounts i have two both are solid and have given me no problems.

How much for mojos? I do hate to spend money on M44 sights that could go toward an SKS... Why not the advanced technology stock w/ a cheap scope?

Oh yeah? Where can I get one of those?
