Alright i got a few questions, first does anyone else own a mosin that was used in the spanish civil war, im curious how rare these are. and also does anyone know what factory re-arsenaled mosins and stamped them with a 2 inside a diamond.

Google is yor friend
Since you are in europe, check to make sure you don't have a Finn and not a russian
also, the spanish ones, had Made in Russian or USSR (I forget but 7.62x54r.net can tell you) on the side and few other markings, also they were ONLY 1891 MN, and not 91/30

Markings and the rest of your questions are easy to answer, but you need to post PICS of all the markings

Re the Spanish CW 91/30 Mosins:

I believe there were also M91's over there.

Not sure what the diamond 2 is. "2" is the Eastblock country code for Hungary AFAIK. But there are a lot of mystery marks.

I'm not sure which factory rearsenaled them, but it would be odd to have a Spanish CW Mosin that got rearsenaled. It would have had to cycle back into Soviet or allied service after the Fascist victory in Spain.

While early in the SCW Stalin sent 91's, later M91/30's were provided to Communist Forces in Spain during the civil war. Untill The Winter War in Finnland, it was the only source of Soviet 91/30's.

they often modifyed the slings with wire hangers, and as noted, "Made in USSR" stamped on them when they left Spain.
Some ended up in Finnland as well, via sales........pix surely would help.

The spanish one wasnt rearsenaled it was bought by my grandpa in the 60s and it definately saw some action, i have a m44 that is rearsenaled and it has that 2 inside a diamond stamped on top of the izy marks which i thought was odd, so i was wondering who might of rearsenaled it
