Moss 500 plug O rings

Just got done coaching a buddy over the phone on how to remove the plug on his 500. Told him to work it out carefully so that the O rings would not be lost in the tube. He says there are no O rings on the plug.
My question is, do all Mossberg plugs have the O rings or did my bone head buddy lose them in the tube despite my warning??? :banghead:

if there are no o-rings there than the plug has been removed at some other time and the o-rings lost in the tube. the only fix i know is removing the mag tube and installing the rings on the plug and reinstalling the mag tube. to the best of my memory mossburg 500's that came with a plug had the o-rings on the plug.

They come with o-rings. One tip is to bevel the ends of the wooden dowel. If you don't the dowel can get tangled in the spring and turn your pump into a single shot. Fortunately, mine did it after I dropped the turkey on one shot.
