I recently aquired a Mossberg .30-30 lever action rifle. It is in excellent shape except for one problem. When the lever is brought fully forward to open the action it gets stuck. THe only way to get it back is to give it a good shove.

I haven't shot it yet and dont want to until the problem is fixed. I would look at it myself except for the fact that I don't know how to take it apart. It didn't come with a manual.

Anyone know where I can find the manual? Preferably online. If I can't I'll just take it to the smith. But I would still need to know how to mantain/ clean it.

Thanks,

P.S. great site you guys have here.

Go to the Mossberg web site call the customer service # they will send you a manual and may even fix your rifle for free.

Well they making them again in the Model 464 I think it is,if nothing else they should have a PDF file they can email you and print your own.

The 464 is not the same as the 469 or 472. It was made 25-40 years ago. Getting a manual will be tough, but check for so check for some of the online obsolete manual sources.
