Mossberg 42M

My father has a .22 Mossberg 42M rifle. From what I understand, it was made as a "trainer" rifle for the military during WWII. It has sling swivels, bayonet lug, magazine, and everything.
The stock and barrel are in decent shape....definitely could use a little TLC, though.

Problem is: It's missing the entire bolt assembly.

Does anyone know anything about these rifles? Is it worth putting the money into to find & buy a bolt?

Anyone know where to get a bolt for a good price?

Mossberg made some very nice 22 rifles,they are very accurate and well made.

Try these guys. They have the best selection of Mossberg parts available and list the bolt for $75. Not always in stock though
