Hi all
When I try to chamber a round the next one in the magazine ends up under the elevator. Sometimes I can get a shot off but next round is bound to fail. Cannot bring back lever if this happens as elevator cannot come down. I have to use a small piece of medal to push the round back into the magazine.

Also, the lever will completely jam or become very rough to cycle if I do not have the receiver all the way back when I tighten the screws. There is enough play to make this happen. Screws numbered 29 on Numrich

Appreciate any help

I'd start with replacing the elevator plunger spring, and while you're at it it's c-clip. Better yet find a gunsmith that will do it, (Some won't, like the one I worked for-he dumped them on me when they came in) because they are a PITA to work on because of the modular trigger setup. The other problem; just be sure you have the action where it should be before you tighten the screws down.

I prefer to work on it myself, I enjoy it really. Except that magazine spring, esh. Id rather toss it than take it to a smith as it would probably cost more in gas to get it to one.

If only I could firgure out how to take it down further.
Ive had the stock, magazine, lever, etc... but just cant get inside to see that elevator.

The 'enjoy it' part will change with this gun, total PITA. Sometimes looking at Numrich's schematics online helps me figure out guns I haven't worked on before.
