Mossberg 500 combo

So at the local Dicks they have a Mossberg 500 combo(bird and rifles slug barrel) for something like $199. Maybe I didn't look at the price tag right... 200 dollars is a good deal for a 500 combo, right?

Thats a good price, just check and see if the slug barrel is rifled. If it is then buck or any shot is a no go.

its not the best for the barrel, and it will donut pattern

BUT! if you get it right, you can line up 3 apples/tennis balls/ cans and hit the one to the left, the one to the right and not touch the middle

$199 isn't a bad price for a gun with only one barrel. I paid a little over $300 for my Field/ Security combo back in early spring. You can still buy mossberg barrels for $100 or less, if you shop around. If it were me, I'd jump on it.

Well, I'm looking for a "slug gun". Maybe I can slip a couple hundred under the counter and buy it. And then maybe sell the bird barrel.

$200 for a Mossberg combi is a GREAT deal !!!!. I bet it's the 28" Vent Rib Field Barrel and 24" rifled slug barrel with rifle sights. Either #54264 (wood furniture) or maybe #52264 (synthetic furniture). If it's #54243 with the integral scope base, it's a FANTASTIC deal !!!! I paid $229 (or was it $249, I disremember, as I suffer from CRS) for my daughters 20 ga 500 Bantam Combo four years ago.

Buy two (or more).

We have Big 5 here in California which is like Dick's. They sell a Mossberg security for $229. That's the lowest Mossberg I've seen. That sounds like a good deal.
