mossberg 500 trigger assembly pin falls out

i have found what i think is the spring that fell out of my trigger assembly that keeps the assembly retaining pin from falling out. but i cant figure out how to put the spring in, or if its the correct spring.

so, can anyone show me pics of theirs? ive searched the forum as well as google for details about this spring but cannot find anything.

The spring that retains the housing pin is a small V shaped spring that fits in a rectanglur slot in the trigger housing toward the right rear upper side.

As I recall it is slightly bent or rounded on one leg of the V to mate with the groove in the housing pin. That side of the V should face forward. The V spring is simply pushed into a small rectangular hole with the open part of the V facing upward.
