Mossberg 590 pattern testing, from 00 buckshot to #2 birdshot

Yeah, but that Federal stuff is so hard to find, and expensive... I dont need 250 rounds, but that's the only quantity I can find available...$335.

50 rounds is enough, at least at current prices.

I'm too poor to spend $3.80 per round like some are priced... I'll just use slugs before I do that...I have a couple hundred Winchester SuperX slugs that cost me around $1 and change each.

On that note though...

I am looking into using tough steel shot wads to try to sort of accomplish flight control type patterns with reloads.

People have done this, none of it is published data which is extremely risky with shotguns, but it has been done with some success... not quite Flight Control tight, but still pretty tight.

Not slitting the wads all the way down so they open slower and hold the shot longer.

Well the 590 has been stripped, cleaned, reassembled, and put back by the bedside.

It's been fun doing some shooting and sharing on here but tomorrow is my last day off work so I gotta get ready to head out (truck driver).

Sitting here enjoying one last glass of Hennessey before bed.

I hope y'all enjoyed the commentary and info.
