Mossberg 590A1 slide release question

My 590A1 has a knoxx spec-ops stock and the stock is a little wider than the shotgun where it attaches. This makes it difficult to lift the slide release without moving my grip. Is there an aftermarket "extended" slide release or something to make the release more easily reached? If not I'm guessing a good gunsmith could modify the slide release pretty easily. Thanks in advance.

Mossberg's work better with regular stocks...I'd get an 870 if I wanted to use a knoxx spec-ops.

It's not just the slide release but also the safety is all wrong for a pistol grip type but stock.

There is no aftermarket part that will extend your Mossberg bolt release.

However , you are correct that a smith could modify the existing part to get it set up the way you wish to have it. A little costly perhaps for what you will gain, but then it may be worth it to have what you want.

I plan on grinding out the area around the release on my Cop Stock for this same reason. Having said that, once I got used to working around the bulk of the grip, hitting the release is second nature now and dosent really impair anything as far as I can tell.
