A friend of mine has a Mossberg 9200 that is failing to chamber the shell from the magazine after the first shot. I haven't looked at the gun since the problem started and won't have the chance until later but I was trying to get a few ideas on what might be causing the problem.
He has been mainly shooting sporting clays with it and has been using 1 1/8 oz. federal game/target loads. I know this isn't a 935 but I was wondering if its possible that these loads may be too light to fully cycle the action and that 1 1/4 oz. loads might be worth a try.
The gun was purchased used this Christmas and he has only run about 150 rounds through it. It doesn't show much wear as far as I could tell when I first looked at it but I was very thorough.
Any suggestions are welcome, I just would like to have an idea of what others have experienced with these guns.
